IMMUNE+++ With Laminine OMEGA+++ Help Promote Healthy Skin
Lake Forest—July 20, 2015— Recent skin care research emphasizes the importance of taking vitamin C during the summer months as a way to counteract the effects of sun damage from ultraviolet light to the skin. The role of vitamin C in skin repair is two-fold: 1) Its antioxidant properties help reduce damage inflicted by ultraviolet light, and 2) it cross-links the molecules that are essential for the synthesis of collagen to give skin its thickness, elasticity and smooth appearance. The findings also show that the red and orange pigments found in certain fruits are a rich source of citrus bioflavonoids, anthocyanins and polyphenols, all of which contain powerful antioxidant properties. Fruits such as camu camu, acerola and pomegranate are found to help counteract free radical damage to the skin. All of these natural sources of antioxidants and vitamin C are found in IMMUNE+++, a LifePharm Global dietary supplement launched in 2014.

A study published by the National Institute of Health evaluated the radical scavenging and physiologic antioxidant ability of various amounts of vitamin C in the skin of 33 human volunteers. Radical scavenging ability increased by 22 percent in subjects consuming 100 mg per day of vitamin C and 37 percent on 180 mg per day.

Other studies published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science have shown that vitamin C taken orally with a fish oil supplement and other antioxidants help increase the deposit of collagen fibers in the dermis of post-menopausal women. With long-term use, there was a clinically measureable improvement in the depth of facial wrinkles.

Kimberly Lloyd, M.S. has researched the IMMUNE+++ formulation in conjunction with the Laminine OMEGA+++ dietary supplement that LifePharm Global launched in 2013. She says, “IMMUNE+++ was primarily formulated to boost the immune system, and Laminine OMEGA+++ to address circulatory health. A single tablet of IMMUNE+++ contains 500 mg of vitamin C, nearly three times the amount taken by participants who showed a 37 percent increase in radical scavenging ability in the skin, while the fish oil in Laminine OMEGA+++ is of the highest quality and the omega fatty acids are in the ideal ratios. The potential secondary and even tertiary benefits of these supplements when used together is truly astonishing. Usually we think of skin care as being topical, but these dietary supplements, taken jointly over the long term, address the natural aging process of the skin through nutritional channels.”
